We are committed to having the highest standards of integrity and accountability in all aspects of our business and have established our Confidence Line, a confidential and anonymous ethics hotline for employees and anyone who interacts with the company to report any unsafe or unethical conduct in the workplace that may violate our Code of Conduct. It’s a way to ensure we are accountable for what we do and always take responsibility for our actions.
Anyone can report a concern through the Confidence Line, including Tervita employees, customers, vendors, or members of the public.
If you suspect any unsafe or unethical conduct when working with Tervita, you can raise concerns by calling the Confidence Line at 1-855-500-6192, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
What happens to reports made to the Confidence Line?
Making a report using the Confidence Line is confidential. Your concern will be documented by a third-party vendor, and then will be relayed to Tervita. If you wish to remain anonymous, your name will not be given and you’ll be provided with a reference number to check the status of your report.
All reports to the Confidence Line are assessed by Tervita legal counsel and the Audit Committee.
Tervita will protect an employee's confidentiality to the extent possible consistent with the law and the company's need to investigate a concern. Tervita does not tolerate retaliation against any employee who, in good faith, seeks help, or reports known, suspected or perceived policy violations.
